Identify the client before installing

The official product is Scam With Your Friends by JakeHub and Metater, published by Jatater Worldwide, Steam app 4954910. Its current store page is a coming-soon base-game listing. Steam Playtest uses a separate app entry, so test access and ownership of the eventual game must be checked separately.

If the playtest is missing from your account, resolve admission or the invitation first. There is no verified standalone installer supplied by the reviewed publisher page.

Install the entitled Steam entry

  1. Use the entitled account

Open the Steam client and sign into the account that received playtest access, or that owns the game once it is released. Accept a pending invitation or activate an issued key before expecting the corresponding Library entry.

  2. Check Windows, storage and internet

Compare your machine with the official minimum requirements. The current listing requires Windows 10/11, a 64-bit processor and OS, broadband and 5 GB of available storage.

  3. Install from Library

Select the entry your account is entitled to use, choose Steam’s Install control, select an available drive and finish the client’s download. For the current test, choose the playtest entry rather than assuming the coming-soon base game is installable.

  4. Launch and check the result

When Steam offers Play, launch that entry. A successful launch reaches the game, not just a downloaded folder. If the developer has made the test unavailable, owning its entitlement does not override that test state.

What “free download” means here

Valve describes Steam Playtest as free access for customers. That does not establish a free-to-play price for the base game. The base-game price is unverified in the current listing, and the publisher’s optional US$8 test AI service is a separate item. Compare the three in the price guide.

A third-party video or archive calling itself a free full-game download does not establish an official distribution route. Start with the product and publisher identities above.
