Identify what you actually received

Activate an issued Steam key
Valve’s product-key help gives the Steam client route: sign in, open Games, choose Activate a Product on Steam, then follow the displayed instructions. Use the account that should receive the entitlement, and check the product name Steam identifies before finishing.
This is a generic Steam route. The reviewed game sources do not establish a public key giveaway, a guaranteed delivery time, or a current list of working codes. Valve permits developers to distribute playtest keys, so a coming-soon game is not proof that no legitimate pre-release key can exist.

Check the result and the error category
- A successful redemption adds the named entitlement to the signed-in account. Check that entry in Library before following installation steps.
- For an Invalid Product Code result, confirm the key is intended for Steam and check for mistyped letters or numbers. Steam Support advises contacting the retailer if that remains unresolved.
- A duplicate-code result means the code has already been registered. If you previously redeemed it, recover the relevant Steam account; if you never redeemed it, contact the retailer or issuer. Buying AI does not replace that entitlement.
- An entitlement to a playtest does not force the developer to keep that test playable. Account admission and present test availability are separate checks.
Do not publish a code, payment reference or account details when asking for help. Describe the product, the error wording and the access branch; give private transaction details only through the applicable official support channel.
